VIGA, in partnership with Tilth Alliance, will host the Vashon Farm & Garden Picnic on Sunday, July 23rd, Noon to 3:00 PM, to raise scholarship funds for Vashon farmers to attend this year's Tilth Conference in Port Townsend. The event will start at Noon with a tour of Vashon Cohousing's composting project, followed by a potluck lunch starting at 1:00 PM. Bring a dish, beverages, or flowers to share with friends and neighbors. After lunch soil scientist Nate Stacey, Tilth Farm Program Director, will report on statewide agriculture programs.
