Get on the Map If you have a farm stand, you will be included on the farm stand map, which is updated weekly from April to October and is published online and in printed versions. You will also be included in the weekly newsletter with what you have for sale that week, increasing your exposure and informing your customers.
Access to VIGA Mail: VIGA Mail provides you with direct connection to other growers, consumers, and crafters around the island. This email list is comprised of hundreds of members and you will have access to the knowledge that they have. You can ask them questions, look for extra materials, and connect within the community.
Bulk Ordering Access: Save on growing with group, bulk orders like seeds, fertilizer, and supplies. These bulk orders are organized using VIGA Mail.
Receive Alternative Currencies: If you have a farm stand, you are able (and required) to accept our alternate currencies. These currencies increase your income and increase access to local food for your customers!
Joining is easy. Just tell us about yourself and pay the annual dues.

How you will communicate what you have to sell each week.
If you choose to be on the Farm Stand Map, you'll need to join a Google Mail list (we will add you manually) where you can fill out a weekly Farm Stand query in the form of an email with a survey link. This will take less than 5 minutes to complete. The collected information will be updated weekly on the Farm Stand map and will also be included in the weekly VIGA newsletter. You are not required to respond and are welcome to participate as many times as you are able. If nothing has changed, just indicate that the information is the same as last week and we will leave it as is. We also ask if you are hosting another producer so that they may get exposure as well. Our goal is to put every Vashon grower on the map.
About VIGA Farm Bucks
As a VIGA member Farm Stand, you are required to accept our alternate VIGA currency, VIGA Farm Bucks (reimbursed 100% by VIGA). This is a requirement with a benefit: You receive increased sales while actively increasing accessibility to local food for everyone. It works like this: VIGA will reimburse you for the full value of these currencies. For example, if you take in $114 in Farm Bucks, you will receive $114 by check from VIGA. We ask that you turn them in to the VIGA bookkeeper once a month - either drop them off at Greenman Farm or come to the market on Saturdays (10am-2pm) to turn them at the VIGA Market Booth which will be easily identifiable.
