Poster Designer Announced
Congratulations to artist Chelsea Coldeen for her winning design for the 2008 Vashon Farmers Market poster. The watercolor painting featured three lively goats and island farm products and was chosen from among 26 different entries. Look for the poster around the island in late March.
Asparagus and Tomato Plants May 3

This Saturday May 3 food shoppers will find fresh island asparagus, mixed bunches of broccoli raab, chard and kale, fresh beef, pate, cheese, milk, eggs, and salad mix. Also look for the first tomato plants of the season and some cut flower bouquets. There will be island-produced wine, hand-made chocolates, plus hot soup and lunch specialties from Sol Source. The market is open from 10am-2pm in the Village Green.
